February, 2018

If you've ever called HenderCare in Western Australia, there's a very good chance you've spoken with Brooklyn. We thought we'd take the opportunity to introduce her to you properly! We sat down with Brooklyn and asked her to tell us a bit more about herself.

What's your role at HenderCare?

I am the Nursing Services Coordinator for HenderCare based in our Perth office.

Describe your job for us.

My main role is to support private and public hospitals in WA by booking Registered Nurses and Personal Care Assistants from our pool of RNs and PCAs. On a weekly basis, I coordinate the working schedules of up to 120 staff. My ultimate goals are to link each HenderCare staff member with the shifts that best match their availability, and to make sure our clients are well-supported with the staff they need.

How long have you been with HenderCare?

I have my one year anniversary coming up on 27 February this year!

What motivated you to join the HenderCare team?

I have varied experience in the medical field but my previous roles were largely focused on corporate health. When I joined Hendercare, I felt as though I was actually starting to help people. Not only that, but I realised I am now in a position where I am able to care for the carers.

What's your favourite thing to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I am an avid nerd. My passion lies in languages. I am currently studying Japanese, Korean and Auslan. When my head is not buried in a book, I am usually plugged into my headphones.
