Today is Allied Health Professionals Day!

  • 2 mins

The purpose of this day is to acknowledge the essential services that Allied Health Professionals provide to the community. Here at HenderCare, we have a skilful and passionate Allied Health team; and we are proud to celebrate their contributions.

Operating in SA and WA, our diverse team includes multiple disciplines – such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology and more. Our team members work with individuals to improve their quality of life by providing therapy, assessing for equipment or home modifications, and setting and reaching goals. All these services help our clients to live as independently as possible.

General Manager of Allied Health, Mandy, explains why she loves the work:

I love working as an allied health professional in the disability sector because the people we get to work with are inspiring, driven, and resilient.

Our work is never boring, and I am lucky to work in a team of like-minded, dedicated, solutions-focussed colleagues who put our clients at the centre of all that we do.

Our focus is to make a positive difference in the lives of those we work with.”

HenderCare Occupational Therapist, Adam, enjoys the opportunity to work towards long-term goals with his clients.

I love working as an OT in the community because it gives me the opportunity to work with people over the long-term towards goals which are important and meaningful to them in their everyday lives.

I feel it is a privilege for clients to accept me into their own homes/environments and enjoy working together as a team”.

If this sounds like the type of relationship-building and rewarding work you or a loved one would enjoy, there are vacancies currently available in the Allied Health team.
