Occupational Therapy

Our NDIS occupational therapy services will help you to maintain and improve your safety, participation and independence in the tasks and activities that you choose to do on a daily basis.

What we do

Our NDIS occupational therapists can assist you with:

  • Improving your function, independence, safety and participation in activities of daily living (eg showering, personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, gardening, meal preparation, cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc) in your home or community
  • Selecting appropriate assistive technology, aids and equipment to promote your independence, function, safety and participation in your chosen daily activities (eg wheelchair, bed, mattress, shower chair, postural support chairs, daily living aids)
  • Accessing computer technology, telecommunications, environmental control systems and other household/personal devices through alternative access and assistive technology
  • Recommending and designing modifications to your home environment to improve your function, independence and safety at home; or assisting you to choose a suitable home to live in with appropriate levels of support
  • Working with you to identify the appropriate level of support that you might require to participate in daily living activities
  • Managing any problems you might have with processing sensory information
  • Managing upper limb problems and selection of upper limb orthotics
  • Optimising your safety, comfort, positioning, participation and mobility through wheelchair/ mobility aid and seating assessments and selection, completing falls risk assessments
  • Improving your safety, independence and function in daily transfers and manual handling activities
  • Assessing your risk of falls and implementing strategies to prevent risk of falling or injury from falling
  • Managing any pressure risks or injuries
  • Development of fine motor and gross motor skills as well as skills for play and learning (for children)
