International Day of People with a Disability (IDPwD) is aimed at increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with a disability. It is also a day to come together and celebrate the achievements of people with disabilities and promote community inclusion.

HenderCare is proud to support people with disabilities and work with them to set and reach their goals. Today we celebrate all their achievements!

Six new ambassadors have been named as part of the 2022 IDPwD. Read a little more about them below!

Akii Ngo is a multi-award-winning disability and gender equity activist that is passionate about inclusion and non-tokenistic representation.

Nathan Basha is a motivational speaker and filmmaker who advocates for equity in employment access for people with disability.

Chloe Hayden is an award-winning motivational speaker and the first Australian actor with autism to co-lead a series.

Uncle Wilfred Prince is an indigenous elder and founder of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Disability Network.

Eliza Hull is an award-winning musician and co-creator of the children’s book, “Come over to My House”, about various families with disability.

Julie, Braeden and the Jones family are the founders of the “Have Wheelchair Will Travel” website and advocate for inclusive tourism.
