We spoke with Amanda about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Why did you get the COVID-19 vaccine?
To protect my own health and that of my family’s, the health of the vulnerable people we care for and support and the health the community at large.
How easy was the process?
Very easy, I went to the Adelaide Central Vaccination Clinic opposite the Arkaba Hotel. I booked online and chose the time that suited me. I received a reminder for my second vaccination, which I again booked online.

If you could give one message to others about getting vaccinated, what would it be?
We need to all be vaccinated and collectively strive for herd immunity in Australia. This will prevent people from catching and spreading COVID-19 and will stop the need for the lockdowns we are currently experiencing. These lockdowns are impacting on everyday people and businesses all over Australia and are damaging our economy and the lifestyle that we all so much enjoy.
Above all, we want to stop people from dying or ending up with significant complications from COVID-19, complications that could have a devastating impact on the health of people now and into the future.
