The grant from HenderCare Foundation is being used to assist Errington Special Education Centre in obtaining a range of specialised equipment designed to increase activity levels and develop the sensory-motor skills of students.
With the funding received, the school has ordered a specialised jumping castle, large safety fall mats and Edumarkings (sensory paths that include fitness ground games/activities).
Australian Schools Plus understands the significance of their work:
“Providing inclusive physical activities tailored to the needs of students with intellectual disabilities and complex sensory needs will always be a high priority for the school to ensure students are given every opportunity to thrive – physically, emotionally, and socially”.
We look forward to seeing Australian Schools Plus finalise their project with Errington Special Education Centre and will update you with their overall progress at the end of the year.
