Welcoming Western Australia to the NDIS

  • 2 mins

The Australian and Western Australian Governments have announced that WA will officially join the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The NDIS goes national
From 1 July 2018 the National Disability Insurance Agency (the NDIA) will be responsible for rolling out the NDIS across Western Australia. This announcement provides much-needed clarity for Western Australian participants around how they will be able to access the care and services they need. It is anticipated that the NDIS will be fully rolled out across Western Australia by 2020.
Our CEO Amanda Blight said that it was a great step for people with a disability in Western Australia. “We are proud to be a Registered NDIS Provider. We’re already supporting participants in South Australia, Victoria and New South Waler, and we’re looking forward to supporting Western Australian NDIS participants as they transition on to the national scheme,” she said.
