February, 2018When it is also a tool for promoting inclusion, ensuring that people with a disability are able to access appropriate bathroom facilities when out in the community. As a Registered NDIS Provider and a strong supporter of inclusion, we are pleased to hear that $1.7 million in State Government funding has been allocated to build Changing Places bathroom facilities across South Australia.
The new Changing Places facilities will benefit people in both metro and regional areas. Metro areas flagged to receive a Changing Places facility include:

In addition to these brick and mortar bathrooms, two portable toilets called Marveloos will be provided. These can be transferred to public events including festivals and concerts.
Changing Places facilities are accessible bathrooms. They include a customised toilet with a changing table suitable for both children and adults. The toilets include:

People with a disability live in regional areas too, and accessibility is just as important in Whyalla as it is in Rundle Mall.”
