How to navigate the My Aged Care portal

The My Aged Care Portal helps you find out about the types of aged care services available, your eligibility for services, service providers in your area, costs and more. It’s a service provided by the Australian Government which you can access after contacting the My Aged Care contact centre.
Following your initial conversation, you or a representative (e.g. family me
mber or an aged care agency worker) can access the portal through the My Aged Care website or myGov. This article will discuss what you can do once you’re in the portal and how to navigate it.

Navigating the Homepage
The My Aged Care Portal is an easy way to access and update important information. You can access the below functions from the portal homepage once you log in:

• My Profile – Displays your contact information and personal details, including address, payment details and communication requirements (for example, your preferred language). You can easily update or edit these details on the page by clicking on them.

• Plans – Allows you to view your support and action plans.

• Reports – Allows you to view and print letters, reports and forms associated with your record.

• Current Care Approvals – Shows you what care types you are currently approved to receive.

• Services – Displays the services you are currently receiving and services that will be put in place.

• Relationships – Shows your key relationships including carers, your emergency contact, your nominated or authorised representative, previous relationships, people you look after and other people who look after you. You can edit/remove each relationship on this page.

• My Aged Care Interactions – Displays your contact history with My Aged Care, for example, letters and phone calls.

• Attachments – Allows you to upload and view important legal and medical documents, for example, your power of attorney.
You can also call the My Aged Care contact centre if you would like someone to help you manage your information and services on your behalf rather than doing it through the portal.
How to View and Print Your Record, Reports, Letters and Forms
When you click on the “My Profile” icon on the home page, you can print out a copy of your client record by pressing the “Print record” button at the bottom of the page. You can also access and print the documents from the ‘Reports’ page.
Managing Your Plans
Your action plan is generally based on the initial conversation you have with the contact centre. You can view your action plan on the “Plans” page by clicking plan history and viewing the most recent plan, which contains details like recommended services, recommended assessments and support considerations.
Your support plan details your identified care needs, concerns and goals as discussed and agreed between you and your assessor. After a completed assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) or Regional Assessment Service (RAS), your support plan details will be displayed on the support plan tab on the “Plans” page.

Using myGov
myGov is the Australian Government online system that allows you to use services like My Aged Care securely from one place. You can create an account online or visit a myGov shopfront for assistance on setting up an account and linking your services.
