Supporting Independence at Every Age with Occupational Therapy

  • 1 min

At HenderCare, our Occupational Therapists (OTs) play a vital role in helping clients of all ages live more independently, safely, and confidently in their own homes.

Occupational therapy supports people to do the everyday activities that matter to them, whether that’s a child learning to get dressed, an adult managing household tasks after an injury, or an older person staying active and safe at home. Whether you’re living with a disability, recovering from surgery, or accessing care through a Home Care Package, OT can make daily life easier and more fulfilling.

“OT is all about empowering people,” says Rachael, one of our experienced OTs. “We work closely with each client to understand their goals and recommend practical changes, like home modifications, equipment, or strategies, to help them do what they love with more ease.”

Our team delivers personalised assessments and solutions, including grab rail installation, bathroom modification recommendations, mobility aid prescriptions, or tailored routines to reduce fatigue and improve independence.

Occupational therapy is a great option if you, or someone you care for, wants to feel safer, more independent, and in control of everyday life.

HenderCare offers OT services across Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria, supporting children, adults, and older people.
