THE number of South Australians with NDIS packages has reached almost 25,000 – but only just over half are spending their money on services.The 59 per cent utilisation rate of approved funding lags behind the national rate of 69 per cent. Experts say the system is so confusing for many, they simply don’t know where to spend the money.

When it is also a tool for promoting inclusion, ensuring that people with a disability are able to access appropriate bathroom facilities when out in the community. As a Registered NDIS Provider and a strong supporter of inclusion, we are pleased to hear that $1.7 million in State Government funding has been allocated to build Changing Places bathroom facilities across South Australia.

Earlier this month, the Senate passed legislation to establish a Commission to provide oversight of the NDIS. We're pleased to share that today, Social Services Minister, Christian Porter, has announced the appointment of Mr Graeme Head as Commissioner of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguards Commission.
