At HenderCare, we believe that living longer at home means enjoying the life you’ve built. Our Home Care Services, including Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), give you the freedom and flexibility to choose who comes into your home to help.

CHSP is available in certain areas, visit Commonwealth Home Support Program to see if this service is available in your area.

We also work with clients who are ineligible for government-funded packages and opt to pay privately. With private aged care clients, as with our Support at Home clients, we work with you to establish your support needs and set up an individual plan to help you meet your goals.

	Cleaning and domestic assistance	Cleaning and tidying the home. Assisting with clothes washing and other household duties.
	Home and garden maintenance	Mowing, sweeping, weeding and general home maintenance.
	Personal care	Assistance with showering, mobility, dressing and continence.
	Social support	One-on-one social outings or help to connect with your community.
	Nursing and medication management	We have Registered Nurses on staff who can provide assistance with a range of medical needs including wound dressings and medication management. Acute, specialist and gerontic nurses available.
	Meal preparation	Assistance to prepare meals on your behalf or to assist you.
	Shopping	Assistance at the shops or we can complete the shop for you.
	Transport	Transport to and from medical appointments and social outings.
	In-home respite	Support to help loved ones take a break when needed.
	Equipment and assistive technology	We help source the right equipment to make your life more comfortable.

Caring staff, matched to you and your needs

Our aged care team is made up of attendant care workers, nurses, allied health professionals, domestic assistants and home & garden maintenance staff.

All our staff have the appropriate screenings to work with vulnerable adults.

Professional staff have appropriate AHPRA registration and staff providing direct care have a Certificate 3 qualification as a minimum. Attendant care staff also hold Provide First Aid HLTAID003 certification. HenderCare staff are required to attend annual professional training and maintain mandatory competencies to remain a part of our team.

Consumer Directed Care

All of our aged care services are offered under a Consumer Directed Care (CDC) model. CDC puts you at the centre of every decision we make with you.

This means we work closely with you to ensure you have:

• all of the information you need to make an informed decision about the care that suits you best
• a clear understanding that we work in partnership with you to help you reach your goals
• true choice and flexibility in how you receive care, and who provides it
• transparency around your plan, your care team and the costs of your care
