Our supports include therapy services with our allied health team, and home and community support to help each child thrive and grow.
Home & Community Supports
Through our community support services, we can assist participants with getting involved in the community. Whether it is going to a sporting event, attending a medical appointment or enjoying lunch at a local café, HenderCare team members can support children to further engage with their community and increase social participation and life skills development. We work with each participant, carefully matching workers to the child, to ensure they get the most out of their plan and can assist with respite as required by parents or carers.
In addition to community supports, we also have staff trained to provide personal care for children with simple or complex care needs.
Our community team members are equipped with qualifications and/or training centred around the care and support of children.
Qualifications/training can include:
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Trauma-Informed Support
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Management of Actual or Potential aggression
- Mandatory Reporting (e.g. Child Safe Environments)
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening
- National Police Check
